Enhancements
New Header and Navigation Bar
This release introduces a modern, consistent header and navigation experience across all mobile app menu styles, helping ministries strengthen their branding while providing users with a more familiar, intuitive interface.
You can now display your app name and logo consistently in the header, regardless of whether you use the Bottom Menu, Slide-Out Menu, or Tiled Menu. A new “Name of Your App” field allows organizations to define a short display name that appears beside their logo throughout the app. At the top right of the header, standard icons now appear for Messages, Profile, and Check-In (if enabled).
iPhone: Bottom Menu inherits Liquid Glass Theme (iOS v.26 or later)
- We updated the bottom menu so that iPhone users with the Liquid Glass Theme enabled will notice stylistic improvements (below). Specifically, menu items are brighter, include selected states, and appear within a pill-button background. We hope our iPhone users enjoy this small enhancement!
Bug Fixes
App Builder: Page icons changes were not visible until the page was refreshed
- We fixed an issue where a page’s selected icon would not display immediately after being added. Page icons now appear right away—without requiring a refresh—so users can confidently confirm their page setup as they build.
Push Notifications Arrived without Sound
- We resolved an issue where push notifications sent from App Builder were arriving without sound, even when mobile users had notification sounds enabled. Now, when a message notification is delivered, and sounds are enabled on the device, users will hear the notification sound as expected.
Group Member Total Was not Immediately Updating
- We resolved an issue where the group member count did not refresh immediately after adding a new member. Now, after successfully adding someone to a group, the member count updates right away when a user returns to the Group Info screen.
Infrastructure Updates
Optimize Get v3/youtube API to solve the Quota issue
- We improved the reliability of YouTube thumbnail handling to prevent YouTube API quota limits from disrupting the app experience. When the YouTube API quota is exceeded (or returns a 403/500), the system will no longer throw unhandled exceptions and will still load pages successfully. Instead of repeatedly calling the YouTube API during DTO construction/serialization, the system now falls back to a static YouTube thumbnail URL, logs quota-exceeded scenarios for monitoring, and avoids unnecessary repeated calls during page loads. This ensures users can continue to load and interact with apps even during quota-related events.

Enhancements
Add New Profiles within the Groups Module
- Admins and Group Leaders can now add new individuals to groups directly, even when the person does not already exist in the system.
From within a group, click the "New Member +" button. At the top right of the header, click the new "+" icon to open the Add Full Person flow. Enter profile details for the new individual. Once saved, the person will be automatically added to the group.
Mobile-App Self-Check-In Now Honors Distance Requirements
Self-Check-In on the mobile app now enforces distance requirements set at the check-in station level. This ensures accurate, location-based check-ins and prevents unintended remote self-check-ins.
Details: When a station is set to allow Self Check-In and has a distance limit:
- Users who are outside the distance set will see a message indicating how far away they are and how close they need to be to check in.
- If a group or station does not require labels and an app user is not within the distance, users will still see a warning.
- QR codes for label printing will not appear until the user is within the distance.
- If location services are disabled on a user's mobile device, they'll be notified that location access is required to complete check-in.
- When checking into multiple groups or people, if any selected group requires labels, the QR code will always be shown, and no check-ins will complete until the code is scanned.
Group Member Addition Wording Update
- We updated the confirmation messaging shown after adding an existing person to a group to improve clarity and consistency. After successfully adding someone to a group, users will now see the message: “You have successfully added a member to the Group.”
Fixes
Android
The attendance list was not staying in alphabetical order
An issue was fixed in which names in the Attendance list would lose their alphabetical order after saving attendance and reopening the group.
Now, names are consistently displayed in alphabetical order regardless of capitalization. After attendance is marked:
- Names with attendance statuses remain alphabetized at the top of the list
- Unmarked names remain alphabetized below

New Feature: Add People to Groups!
Within the Groups Module, Admins and Group Leaders can now add members to their groups!
Within a Group, authorized users will see a + New Member option that lets them search the database for existing members by name, email, or phone number. If no matching person is found, users are clearly informed that the individual does not exist in the database.
Note: This release allows existing ChMS profiles to be added to Groups within your Mobile App. In an upcoming release, we plan to add the ability to add new individuals (new database profiles) to Groups.
Android: Re-Added the Ability to "Quick Scan" Credit Cards
The Quick Scan button is once again visible on the Giving Module payment screen, allowing users to scan their card using the device camera. When used, the scanner can automatically populate the card number, expiration date, and CVV (when supported). Manual card entry remains fully available if scanning is canceled or unsuccessful.
Fixes
iOS & Android
Members were showing in Groups when the visibility setting was disabled
- We addressed an issue where group member details still appeared in the Directory even when the group setting “Make group members and leaders visible to group members” was turned off. When that visibility option is disabled, Group members and leaders will not appear in the Directory; age and birthday details will remain hidden unless allowed; and Users viewing Groups will only see general group information.
iOS Only
The incorrect birthdate displayed on a person's profile
- An issue was resolved where the birthdate shown below a person’s profile picture did not match the birthdate displayed in the date field on their profile. With this fix, birthdate information is now consistent across all profile sections, ensuring users see the correct date in both locations.
Android Only
Ages and Birthdates appeared despite being restricted by permissions.
- We resolved an issue in which age and birthdate information were displayed in the Directory, even when group and directory visibility settings were configured to restrict that data. Now, age and birthday fields fully respect both Directory visibility settings and Group privacy settings.
If a group has not enabled visibility of members and leaders, and the Directory is not configured to show age or birthday, those details will no longer appear anywhere in the profile view
YouTube sermons were not playing
- We fixed an issue that prevented YouTube-based sermons from playing on Android devices. Previously, sermons would remain stuck in a loading state. YouTube sermons now launch and play successfully.

iOS (iPhone) Mobile App Fixes
Mobile Check-In Search Hard to Read (Blended with Background)
- We've fixed an issue where the search bar background was blending in with the header, making it difficult to see and read. The search bar will now always use a white background, ensuring better visibility and readability.
Blank Screen when Enlarging Profiles without a Picture
- We've addressed a problem where users without a profile picture couldn't see their initials when enlarging the profile area. Now, when you tap on a default profile picture (showing initials), you'll be able to see the enlarged initials just like you would with a regular profile picture.

- Proper handling of recurring events

Fixes
Managing Flex Content within the App Builder
- A recent behind-the-scenes update prevented users from linking from Flex Content blocks to Mobile App Modules. This has been corrected, and you can now link blocks on Custom Pages (Flex Content) to Modules again.
- The Flex Content block dropdown menu used to navigate to a Module, Page, or Form sometimes prevented you from selecting the bottom-most item if too many options existed. We've fixed the scroll-bar issues that caused this, and you can now smoothly scroll up and down through every dropdown option available.
