Analytics: To See How Users are Utilizing your Mobile App

Analytics helps you understand how people are using your app, giving you better information for how you promote your ministry and serve your congregation!

Access Analytics in the web-based App-Builder by clicking the chart and arrow icon at the upper right.

Basic Functions

  • Use the Date Range to set the range for the data displayed in the charts.
  • Take advantage of the drop-down menus on specific charts, allowing you to drill into even more details or customize the display.

Note: Count cut-off times are based on your timezone, so the same data may look slightly different if someone in a different timezone views your information.

Definitions

Each data point reflects usage for your specific ministry. (Whether that's by search/select, following a deep link, or using a custom branded app.)

  • App Installs: The number of unique devices that launched the app for this church. If the app is deleted and re-installed on the same device, both installs will be counted. (We are not allowed to track actual device IDs, so we don’t.)
  • Active Users: The number of unique devices using the app.
  • Sessions: The number of times any user opened the app.
  • Weekly Check-ins From App: A count of completed Check-ins.
  • Page Views: The number of times specific pages were viewed. Leaving a page and viewing it again within a few seconds will count as another view.
  • Live Stream Views: The number of times a specific Live Stream was started through the app.
  • Most Active Event Registrations: Based on the number of event registrations received through the app.
  • Sermon Plays: The number of times a sermon was started through the app.
  • Contact Form Submissions: The number of times the “Contact Us” form was submitted through the app.

How to Improve Your Mobile App Usage

  • Be sure to enable modules or create Custom Pages focusing on your key member needs and ministry goals.
  • Maximize integrations, such as Forms for Events, Contact Us and Prayer Requests forms, connect your Sermons, and activate Churchstreaming.tv.
